Christian Punks on wikipedia...

I was browsing wikipedia, as one does, and stumbled across the List of Christian punk bands (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_punk_bands) . And as I looked through it, I realised there were quite a few of my favourites missing. Why don't you guys have a look too, and we can update it! That way, we can increase awareness of the awesomeness that's available out there? You can access the list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_punk_bands (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_punk_bands)

Raging Storm Records signs Rodent Emporium

Raging Storm Records (http://ragingstormrecords.com) welcomes Rodent Emporium to its family of artists.Originally formed in Scotland in 2005, Rodent Emporium made their first tour to the US in 2008. Among their many tour stops included the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois where thousands of new fans were exposed to their brand of music which combines old school punk rock, catchy sing-along choruses, and a good dose of comedy. Lead vocalist Stuart Gilmour says of his experience in the band, What a blessing it is to go into the darkness of underground punk scenes, vibrant night life and entertainment and to meet with people normally completely opposed to all things Christian, and to be able to make them laugh, and hopefully think about the big questions through our respect for them and unconditional acceptance. Rodent Emporium will be touring the US this summer in support of a new full length album due out on Raging Storm Records in June. The band's debut release Music Without Fear of Reprimand is currently available in the UK at voidavoidance.com (http://voidavoidance.com) and in the US at ragingstormrecords.com (http://ragingstormrecords.com) .

Let's Rock!

I can't decide whether this is just too cheesy or actually pretty cool... I played Guitar Heroes World Tour a couple of weeks ago and it was actually pretty cool, but when Christian artists are (often wrongly) snubbed by the secular media for just being poor versions of secular bands should software companies really be making rip-off versions of secular games?Admittedly there are some good bands on the roster for Guitar Praise (Kutless, Relient K, FlyLeaf, Stellar Kart to name a few) but it does seem a bit of a cheesy idea...http://www.guitarpraise.com (http://www.guitarpraise.com)

True Liberty 'Brotherhood' Review

Just over 3 years ago the original members of True Liberty quit their secular bands (who had, incidentally, opened for The Ramones, Less Than Jake, The Casualties and The Business among others) in order to rededicate their lives to God. The rededication involved forming True Liberty in order to 'play punk rock music that brings praise and glory to God'. Well, enough of their history, what's the new CD like? Click here to read the review! (/index.php?option=com_simple_review review=28-Brotherhood-True-Liberty-Punk-Rock Itemid=39)

Also, please do email us with any news and updates about your christian punk/rock/metal/indie band! Regarding the gigs page not working, I am currently working on a website for a client and then once that is all up and running I will get to work on adding our own gig calendar rather than having to rely on 3rd-party, non-functioning add-ons!!God BlessMaFt
