Just over 3 years ago the original members of True Liberty quit their secular bands (who had, incidentally, opened for The Ramones, Less Than Jake, The Casualties and The Business among others) in order to rededicate their lives to God. The rededication involved forming True Liberty in order to 'play punk rock music that brings praise and glory to God'. Well, enough of their history, what's the new CD like?

Happy New Year everyone and I trust you all had a rocking Christmas? Updates and reviews will be coming soon and, even though the gigs part of the site is currently non-functional, you can always contact us and let us know your gig dates and we will post them up in the news section! Also, please do email us with any news and updates about your christian punk/rock/metal/indie band! Regarding the gigs page not working, I am currently working on a website for a client and then once that is all up and running I will get to work on adding our own gig calendar rather than having to rely on 3rd-party, non-functioning add-ons!! God Bless MaFt |

The new True Liberty CD, 'Brotherhood', arrived through my letter box this morning. Seeing as I was so slack and never actually reviewed their amazing debut CD I will go to extra special lengths to get this one reviewed and published!Keep your eyes peeled! MaFt |

Hi Guys! Just letting you know that we ARE still here! MaFt has been major busy with work and Chris has been studying and revising hard and unfortunately neither of us have had a massive amount of spare time. Over the coming weeks and months we both plan to spend a lot more time sorting the site out - at the moment there are some issues with some of the scripts in particular the gig calendar that doesn't work with our current version of PHP... However, the Band List works and that has links to each bands web page for details of upcoming gigs - so feel free to use that method! Also, we were planning on streamlining the forums a bit and adding a more obvious 'Statement of Purpose' to the site. So keep coming back and please do email us at any time either by clicking the Contact Us link or sending directly to

So this is it. Chris is getting married on 2nd August. Many of you are probably coming to that. And it is time for my last night of freedom (technically I have another two weeks, but I'll have to spend all that buying shoes, and agreeing that flowers look nice, and just generally being pushed around and being under the thumb).
So you are invited to a gig on the 18th July, in Sheffield:
•There will be lots of bands - as many as I can fit in, in fact. •There will be an entry cost £2 - all going to the names-not-numbers.co.uk charity •There will be merriment, and there will be about a hundred people crashing at my house the night after. •There will be dancing, there will be fighting (if Steve gets involved). •Feel free to stay at my house - bring a sleeping bag!
Be there, or DONT BE! For details of the NINE acts, click "read more"... |
